My Lyme Life – A Success Story
By Carrie O’Brien-Sibley
I never dreamed, in a million years that practically overnight my life would essentially come to a halt. I had transitioned from being a healthy, vivacious woman, who ran multiple successful businesses, into a sickly near-invalid. Prior to contracting Lyme disease, I had been able to overcome every roadblock I had encountered in my life by just pushing through to the other side. I was knocked to my knees by Lyme disease and its co-infections, and as I ultimately learned, there is no “pushing through” this affliction.
You literally get worn down physically and emotionally, ultimately losing all hope. I had been an extremely active person with a positive outlook on life, who played multiple sports and had even been a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader. I was emotionally devastated by the debilitated state this disease put me in.
You go from Doctor to Doctor seeking answers, but most don’t have a clue what is going on. You are led to believe “it’s all in your head,” that you are “depressed” or have an unspecified illness like Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Lupus; I was misdiagnosed with them all.
When you finally receive a diagnosis of “Lyme disease” you are relieved! The medical establishment has finally confirmed that you are not losing your mind and the pains that have run rampant in your body for so long are not all in your head. You think to yourself, “Oh good, I know what I have now, there is hope, let’s get treatment.” WRONG!!! A diagnosis of Lyme disease is just the beginning of a painfully long and very expensive journey of experimenting with various treatments (most of which do not help) in a desperate attempt to get better.
The pain of this journey is truly unexplainable to “non-Lymies”. We ALL have the same story; a story of pain, suffering, depression, anxiety, loneliness, abandonment, etc. We cry, we scream, we beg for our health back and we pray continually that the pain will stop. I have told my husband many times that this illness is a million times worse than the bubonic plague! At least with the plague you know you will soon die, but with Lyme, you suffer for a lifetime. Each Lyme patient has a HORRENDOUS story to tell and each tries a different approach, or even multiple approaches to get better. We scour the internet until we are googled out, desperately seeking ANYTHING that will make us feel better. We join support groups, we share our stories with one another in hopes that someone will find the miracle cure and share it. We all have had to settle for a life of coexistence with this horrible affliction that attacks the body incessantly.
We all have our own personal story and here begins mine….the beginning of a years long journey into an extremely dark place.
One afternoon while playing soccer, my left knee inexplicably went out. The knee joint pain was so excruciating, I had to get an immediate appointment with an orthopaedic surgeon. The surgeon ordered MRI’s on both knees and found both joints had deteriorated. He told me he could operate to repair a meniscus tear, but that I was looking at two knee replacements in the near future. Of course, when you are in excruciating pain you will do ANYTHING to relieve the pain. I didn’t really relish the thought of having two knee replacements, but knew I had to deal with my current situation now, so I opted for surgery on my left knee. A few days later, I was on the operating table having knee surgery on my “good knee”.
The surgery turned out to be one of the biggest mistakes of my life, instead of getting better, I got worse! What baffled me was why I was experiencing this much joint deterioration at a relatively young age with a good personal fitness level. Take it from me, if you ever begin experience an unexplained severe joint pain, get tested for Lyme disease before you have surgery.
Shortly after my knee ordeal my chest started killing me. It was like I had a band of fire on my left side shooting into my ribcage. My doctor told me I had costocondritis and told me to take Aleve twice a day for the rest of my life. I’ve never been one who likes to take medication of any kind so I was hesitant. I started taking fish oil and a lot of other supplements, but nothing helped. I tried the Aleve and it did absolutely nothing. I lived in pain for a solid year and told my husband I didn’t know how much more pain I could take. He suggested going to an orthopedic surgeon to get another opinion.
So, we went to one of the top surgeons in the Dallas area and he ordered an MRI of my chest/shoulder area and told me I had a torn rotator cuff and my chest/rib pain was caused by “bracing” my left shoulder due to a torn rotator cuff. The Dr said I needed surgery right away in order to relieve my pain. During the appointment he told us, “when you are a hammer, everything looks like a nail!” Duh! I should have listened, surgeons make a living by operating on people. But, I was in so much pain that I would have done anything for relief. So, you know what comes next! I had the surgery! Another mistake!
After I was bitten by a tick in East Texas, I developed a strange rash all over my torso. Within a few weeks I felt like I had the worst case of the flu and had headaches that were unbearable.
I went to the doctor in Dallas who told me Lyme did not exist in this part of the country. I was concerned about the very strange rash that developed but he said not to worry about it so I went home and did nothing. Within a few weeks I began to get worse and knew something was seriously wrong. My sinuses were on fire, like a severe dry burning sensation every time air hit my left nostril. I then got the worst earache of my life and started getting (I call it “the clamp”) behind my left ear and the vertigo was the worst. I had never had vertigo in my life and this was the scariest thing I had ever experienced!
I was in a very bad way. I knew I wasn’t right and something was seriously wrong with me. Within the next year my vision started going, my body started breaking out in sweats and I developed a splotchy rash all over my torso area. I went to 6 specialists to try and find out what the rash was. I even went to “the dean of derm” (I won’t mention his disgusting name), who was supposed to be one of the best in the US. He was a complete joke and made horrible comments, which humiliated me. He had no idea what I had, so why couldn’t he just say he didn’t know. Instead, he gave me a brochure on acne!! I’m not kidding!! I flat out told him he should lose his license and walked out!
The next doctor I went to did a biopsy on my skin rash, which came back as “lymphatica infiltrate.” He said it’s a very rare disease and he had only seen one other case in his career as a Dermotologist. He also suggested I get tested for Lupus, which came back it “could” be present. I certainly didn’t want to have Lupus! I then went to an infectious disease specialist who tested me for Lyme, and it came back positive for Borrelia burgdorferi.
The doctor did not know much about Lyme and had never treated a Lyme patient. He suggested putting me on doxycycline for a month to see if I got better. Although I was against antibiotics, I agreed because I was going downhill fast. At least I knew what I was dealing with now. After nearly 15 years of surgeries, pain, suffering, and going from doctor to doctor with weird symptoms, I finally knew I had Lyme. My husband dove into researching non-stop to find the best approach to get me better. As you all know, sometimes you just can’t do things for yourself. Again, thank God for my husband.
After a month of doxycycline and IV antibiotics, I felt a little better. The travelling pain in my body was a little less. My husband read in numerous articles that ABX are not the way to go to treat chronic long-term Lyme disease. In the long run, they do more damage than good. After I stopped taking the doxycycline, my pain came back with a vengeance!! I’ve never experienced anything so painful in my entire life. I knew ABX were definitely not the way to go for me. I truly prayed to God to bring me home. I had accepted that death was right around the corner.
Lyme and other vector-borne diseases were the culprits for ALL of my health issues! It makes me sick to my stomach to think of all the times I went under the knife unnecessarily. Each time I had surgery, I compromised my immune system even more, and each time I had a spinal epidural, due to neck and lower back pain, I further destroyed my immune system. Lyme disease “Spirochetes” LOVE weak and compromised areas of your body.
Along with all of the aforementioned “structural” issues, I developed severe sinus problems, along with severe migraine headaches.
The implication was that I was a mental case!
The headaches got so bad that I went to a Neurologist. He ordered an MRI of my brain and told me I completely wasted his time. He said there was not a thing wrong with me and I needed to see a shrink. I would like more than anything to mention his name, but I won’t. His comment hurt me deeply. When you are sick as a dog and in so much pain, the last thing you want to be told is you need to see a shrink! I left the doctor’s office crying and praying to God to help me find a way to get better. Only Lyme patients know what I’m talking about! Trust me, I have an enormous amount of compassion for each and every one of you who are dealing with this disease.
Then out of nowhere come my heart issues. They were the scariest. I was referred to numerous cardiologists. Two said I was perfectly fine. My heartbeat and BP were all over the place, how could I be fine? Finally, a cardiologist told me the electrical system in my heart was out of whack, so he referred me to a specialist who deals with the electrical part of the heart. He told me I might need a pacemaker. I left his office and said I would rather just die than go through another surgery!
Each one of us with Lyme have our own individual story and each of us have our own protocol/protocols that we try in order to get better. The thing we ALL share, as I said earlier, is the pain and suffering that none of us are exempt from.
I also know that we ALL share an extreme compassion for one another. I literally cry when I read others’ stories. It’s especially upsetting when I read of patients who have lost everything, including their family members who left them because they didn’t think they were sick. I thank God daily that I have a husband who has been right by my side throughout this horrible nightmare, many spouses “cut and run” when confronted with dealing with a sick spouse. He always says it could have very easily been him. And yes, I would be right there with him, too.
I know all of you reading this who have Lyme know that you feel just as horrible for the family member who is your caregiver. We never dreamed in a million years we would be in this boat, depending on someone else to take care of us. All of us want to be independent and have our lives back, and we will try almost anything to achieve it.
So, I continued taking every protocol under the sun to heal my body. The conventional medical establishment was very little help and most refused to even consider that Lyme disease was in Texas. Nothing, and I mean nothing, helped. We spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on everything from antibiotics to natural supplements, stem cell therapy, rife machines, bee sting therapy, just to name a few of the treatments I tried. If you have Lyme, you would eat ground-up nails and horsetails if it would cure you!
My miracle came in July of 2021. I read about “LYMESTOP” and Dr Tony Smith in one of my FB Lyme groups. As I was reading a testimonial, I knew this was the miracle I had been praying for daily.
I told my husband that day we were going to Idaho! He said, “Let’s go!” The waiting list was 4 months, which was a little discouraging, but at least I had hope. My husband and I travelled to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and met with Dr Smith. The first thing Dr Smith did was to pray with me for a successful treatment outcome. He then tested me and confirmed a “Borrelia burgdorferi“ (Lyme disease) infection in my body. He also detected a “Bartonella” infection in my brain and a “Lyme Carditis” infection in my heart.
Over the next few days, Dr Smith applied his treatment protocols designed to activate my body’s own immune system to eradicate the infections and placed me on a strict supplement regimen. I was exhausted after the initial treatments, but knew intuitively that something had changed. Over the next several months, I completed the supplement and self-treatment protocols. After four months, I was feeling a lot better, and I returned to Idaho for a follow-up visit with Dr Smith, and his tests indicated I was cleared of the infection. It took a while for my body to regain its stamina after the successful treatment, but I can unequivocally say that Dr Tony Smith’s treatment saved my life. (Note: About a year after the treatment by Dr Smith, I went to my personal Medical Doctor in Texas, who had initially confirmed my Lyme infection with multiple blood tests. He ran a new set of Lyme tests, which came back negative across the board).
After Decades of Lyme, I Got My Life Back
I’ll admit, I was skeptical. I didn’t tell anyone that I had booked an appointment; and when I booked a flight to Idaho, I didn’t tell anyone where I was going. After supposedly being infected for several decades, not leaving my house for several years, losing the ability to walk, and trying every other modality for Lyme disease that was out there, I truly didn’t think this would be much different.
And in a way, it wasn’t.
My few days in CDA were uneventful; and on the last day of my treatments with Dr. Smith I couldn’t stop crying. I cried in my hotel room. I cried in the LymeStop waiting room. I cried throughout my entire appointment with Dr. Smith, and even when saying goodbye to Suzan. I simply could NOT stop crying. It felt too simple—I was still skeptical.
And then everything changed.
It happened slowly, so slow at times the changes were nearly imperceptible—but change did happen. 100 symptoms slowly dwindled away one at a time, and I regained the ability to do normal things. Like shower. And walk. And climb stairs. And leave my house! Until finally, I no longer felt sick anymore. Or disabled. And now today, I am actually living a life without the need of any medications. Or disability aids.
I can’t explain it.
I only know that I am grateful. Grateful to Dr Smith, grateful for life, grateful for everything. So if you’re sitting there skeptical, I think that’s okay—because I was too. I sat in that same waiting room, holding the same binder you are now holding. And in the moments before my own mysterious treatment, I read all of the testimonials that didn’t seem possible. Yet somehow, here I am years later—living proof that they are.

From sick to self-healing: the LymeStop empowerment effect
My entire family had Lyme to varying degrees. After a Lyme-literate doctor had the courage to tell me that she didn’t know what to try next and another one candidly confided that his MD toolkit was inadequate, I decided to do my own research into the vast world of unproven medicine. For someone working in an academic environment, it was disappointing to finally understand the extent of the limitations of Western medicine. It was highly uncomfortable to venture outside of the world of randomized controlled trials.
Learning from the experience of others, I mapped the landscape of existing interventions. The promise of LymeStop — empowering your own immune system to do the job — stood out and resonated deeply. For the first time, I made a medical decision guided by intuition. The rest is history: the 4 of us got well, each at their own pace. LymeStop helped us get rid of our multiple infections. Some of us didn’t need the 3 month booster treatment, some of us returned several times to address new infections which our weakened bodies continued to pick up. Rebuilding our guts and relaxing our nervous systems was necessary to interrupt the cycle of perpetual new infections and to return to our innate self-healing nature.
We are forever grateful to Dr Smith and his team for their life saving insights and outstanding care.

How do you adequately write a “testimonial” for a man who literally saved your life? I’m not sure, but I’ll try.
About age 31 I started having strange symptoms that $36,000 could not buy me an answer for. Stomach pain, food intolerance to almost all food, numbness in my extremities, muscle twitching, heart palpitations, extreme anxiety, terrible joint and muscle pain, stabling pains though my head, dizziness, forgetting where I was at times, losing my ability to write, and the list goes on.
I am a person who doesn’t give up, especially not on myself. I knew there was something wrong and I was not afraid to push the limits or spend the money to find an answer. Three years of MRI’s, numerous doctors, endocrinologists, autoimmune specialists, chiropractors, holistic practitioners, genetic testing, thousands upon thousands spent on supplements and still nothing. There were small changes, but I still honestly felt like I was dying. My body was failing, and my brain wasn’t far behind.
On my 33rd birthday I received a call from my primary care physician. The results to my bloodwork that I FORCED her to complete came back. The good news: She told me although I didn’t have an “active” case of mononucleosis, I did have some of the highest numbers on Epstein Barr she’d ever seen in a patient. The bad news: “There is nothing we can do to treat it and you’ll have to wait and hope that your immune system can fight it on it’s own.”
This diagnosis led me to my own research of Epstein Barr and alternative treatments. Upon my first google search I came across Dr. Smith’s website. One of his glowing google reviews was a friend of mine. I immediately called her and asked her to tell me about her experience. I was so tired of spending money and hope on treatments that did not help. I was desperate for a real person to tell me a success story. I will never forget my friend’s words. “Dr. Smith literally saved my life. And my daughter’s life. Don’t question it for one more minute. Call right now and set up an appointment!”
I called and explained my situation and was given an appointment for that week since I lived in Coeur d’ Alene to check the Epstein Barr. Dr. Smith confirmed I did in fact have Epstein Barr and also Lyme which was in my brain. He treated the Epstein Barr that day and told me to come back for the LymeStop treatment. That night I woke up in a puddle of sweat from a fever. I didn’t feel sick but knew my body was fighting something off. I woke up that next morning and literally sprang out of bed…then immediately started crying tears of joy. I had energy! I hadn’t felt that good in literally 3 years. My husband was amazed. When I met him for lunch that day he looked at me and said “You feel better, don’t you? I can see it on your face. You look like a million bucks!” I called that day and scheduled LymeStop and that was the best decision of my life.
It’s been almost 2 years since my LymeStop treatment and, at almost 36, I am back to where I was at age 31. Healthy, happy with a fully functioning brain once again! It’s hard to believe some days. That I was that sick and am now so healthy. Some days I’m still shocked it worked after so many years of praying for a miracle. Some days I still literally cry tears of sheer gratitude (as I am right now writing this) for the man who developed a treatment that saved my life. What a blessing from God he is and continues to be in my life and the lives of so many people just like me.
Thank you Dr. Smith for all you do. Thank you for saving my life.

Our son asked: “Mommy, was that a miracle?”
I replied: “Yes, son. You are our miracle!”
Our son contracted Lyme disease at the age of 3 years old after being bitten by a tick in Maryland. We immediately took him to his pediatrician, who advised us to watch him closely for a few weeks to see if he exhibited any signs of tick borne illness.
He never showed a rash, fever or any other typical symptoms of Lyme disease – until 5 months later when he experienced debilitating joint pain in the hip, knee and neck. He was unable to walk. His knees became swollen, his coloring turned yellow, and his personality started to change. Before, he was a quick witted, energized and fun loving. As his symptoms manifested, he had a very difficult time focusing and had heartbreaking outbursts of frustration frequently.
As parents, we suspected Lyme and had to beg my son’s pediatrician for the prescription to get diagnostic blood work. The tests came back CDC positive for Lyme.
We visited a good rheumatologist who prescribed antibiotics for one month. Then, COVID-19 hit. At first the antibiotics seemed to help, but once the symptoms manifested again, we couldn’t get into see a doctor due to the pandemic. The rheumatologist who was in charge of my son’s care decided to retire early because of the pandemic.
We did a lot of research into Lyme disease and quickly discovered that this field of medicine was a very toxic environment. The only advice I could trust was advice from other “Lyme parents”. We decided to try a LLMD. He ordered very expensive testing and prescribed expensive and toxic medications that he would be on “indefinitely”. We didn’t want this life for our son’s future. We left his office and felt very overwhelmed and scared.
After Lymestop:
Through God’s grace, a wonderful woman, and fellow “Lyme Mom”, made us aware of Lymestop. She was so kind to answer our questions and we immediately booked an appointment with Dr. Tony Smith. The wait was excruciating, but SO beyond worth it!
We live on the East Coast, so getting to Coeur d’Alene was expensive and time consuming, but so worth the sacrifice. From the moment we stepped into the office, we became human again. The office staff is so full of vitality and light. Meeting Dr. Smith was such an honor and watching him care for our son was a spiritual experience. At this point, my son was very sick. He had such extreme neurological symptoms, it was hard for him to hold still. He was so weary of doctors, he was afraid at first. Very quickly, however, he relaxed and tried his best to hold still.
At one point, Dr. Tony made my son laugh, and he laughed so hard, my son accidentally spit all over Dr. Tony’s face. My son realized what he had done and looked sheepishly at his parents. This was at the height of the pandemic, when everyone was so paranoid of catching any disease. Any other person would have been repulsed, but Dr. Smith looked at my son with such compassion, and discreetly wiped off his face and continued with the treatment unfazed. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.
Within hours of the first treatment, my son’s knee swelling began to reduce. Within one week, his knees were at normal size. Also, within the first week, his balance and neurological Lyme symptoms had improved drastically.
Coeur d’Alene has beautiful parks, and we noticed our son was playing and dancing again! He was balancing on the play equipment with ease, and his sensitivity to sun light was gone. His skin coloring changed from yellow to pink. I noticed immediate changes in his listening and learning comprehension as we homeschool our children. Suddenly, he had wizard-like ability to memorize math and history facts, and also understand complex concepts. His frustrated outbursts had become habitual. However, I slowly noticed a gradual awareness of his behavior, and 9 months after his first treatment these outbursts are now infrequent. Of course, like any child, he gets angry and frustrated, but he is able to manage his emotional response.
After our son’s followup treatment, our family gathered in the car, our hearts bursting with joy. We could barely speak because of the emotions of gratitude and relief we felt.
Our son asked: “Mommy, was that a miracle?” I replied: “Yes, son. You are our miracle!”
Our son has been able to play soccer, tennis and basketball during the four months between his initial appointment and the followup, and he continues to excel in sports. He had no symptoms to report at his follow up, although he still had some lingering infections, which Dr. Smith successfully treated.
Our son even learned to ski the winter after his treatment! This would have been unthinkable less than a year before. Nine months after our son’s initial treatment with Dr. Smith, he is well and thriving.
Our family is eternally grateful to the team at Dynamic Health for their loving attention. We highly recommend the Lymestop treatment and we are forever thankful to Dr. Tony Smith.

Love and appreciate every one of you for all you do.
Dear Dr. Smith, Suzan, Candace and Denise,
I have been wanting to write this letter for a while now but I have been so busy I haven’t got a chance. It is so wonderful to feel alive again that I can’t hardly keep myself down. I have been trying to tell everyone I can on facebook, to friends and friends of friends of how this treatment has saved my life. I still can’t believe how great I feel. Family and friends around me are amazed at how I am doing. I am so thankful to you Dr. Smith. God has been so good to me to have let me find a doctor that could help me in this way. I suffered for 8 years with this disease. So thankful how God has given you this gift. I can’t thank him enough. I have my life back! I can do everything and more that I use to do. It is so totally amazing!
I came into the office Jan 29th on my husband Tom’s arm. My head felt full and weird, I was dizzy, in pain, major fatigue and just depressed and not caring if I lived or died. Dr. Smith said my brain and spine were sizzling. I knew something bad was going on since I had steadily gotten worse. After the third treatment we went back to our hotel room and I was taking my coat off and noticed my arms didn’t hurt. Before I could barely raise them above my head without horrible pain. I couldn’t believe it! My head was clear. The dizziness gone. I started swinging my arms and telling my husband that the pain and everything else was gone. I felt so energetic! I told him, “I just want to go shopping!” lol! I had to let my husband go into the stores for me while I sat in the car before. We went back for the fourth treatment and I was asking everyone if this could happen so fast! 1 was in Dr. Smiths office and crying because I just couldn’t believe how good I felt. It was such a total miracle and so hard to believe how fast it had worked for me. That evening we went to a huge Hobby Lobby store and I walked it twice! Then we went on to a Home Goods store and I walked all over it. I could have still kept going. So hard to believe I had that much energy so quickly.
Dr. Smith you are so awesome and caring and just want you to know how much you are appreciated. My husband and I will just sit and look across from each other in amazement at the new me and how everything has changed. He has his wife back again! I have only had a little detoxing sickness, nausea, headache and a little fatigue maybe a couple times a week so far. I know it worked so I can handle that. We told our pastor about the allergy treatments and he has made an appt. with you for that. My sisters friend in Florida is going to make an appt. for lymestop and I have had tons of others on facebook on a lyme disease group say they want to make appts. I am trying to reach as many as I can and help anyone I can by putting info online so others can get the help I have.
I just want to thank you all so very much! Everyone was so kind and caring in the office. We had a wonderful experience while there. It was so great meeting others who had lyme and connecting with them. Some we have exchanged emails with and keep contact. There is a special bond there with other lyme sufferers. Again, thank you, thank you! Love and appreciate every one of you for all you do.

Miracle Worker
No more Lyme disease!!!
I struggled with chronic Lyme disease for over three years. The disease caused over 30 symptoms and affected my brain, my heart, my eyes, my nervous system and more! I was unable to work and felt my normal life was over. I spent many, many thousands of dollars on alternative therapies and was even on two powerful antibiotics for years – nothing really worked.
I then heard about Dr Smith and learned that he had a method to completely cure people from Lyme Disease. The wait was four months to get in to see him – and treatment required a trip to Idaho. After all of the disappointments in trying so many types of healings I had some doubts, but my faith was stronger that Dr Smith was the real deal.
He was also the only healer – who himself had had the disease!
During the gentle treatment, I felt my brain begin to wake up. After the treatment Dr Smith’s wonderful staff were very thorough and provided me with on-going supplemental support to bring any organs damaged by the disease (and long term antibiotics) back to health. I began noticing improvements in my condition the week after treatment – and after 6 months – now feel amazing!!!
I have energy, I can think, no more constant heart murmurs, night sweats. and aching joints, or depression! I feel as if I am 20 years younger and ready to take on the world once again. Dr. Smith is a True Miracle Worker and I am so thankful.
Words cannot convey the immense appreciation to one who gave you your life back!

Vivienne – Finally Moving Forward.
Vivienne was bitten by a tick when she was two years old. She went through years of treatment trying to fully recover. She was able to maintain a normal schedule but fatigued easily. She had a joint pain and fevers that slowed her down.
Then in the middle of her third-grade school year, Vivienne was bitten a second time while playing during recess. This time, she was bedridden. She had neurological Lyme that caused dizziness, migraines, extreme nausea, and extreme fatigue. She was homebound for the second half of her third-grade year and also for her fourth-grade year. Antibiotics and herbal protocols helped slightly, but the side effects were so bad, it made life very difficult.
A couple months into homeschooling, we received an email from LymeLight sharing about a relatively new treatment called LymeStop in Idaho. I had never heard of it, but was open to new ideas. We were desperate. With the help our LymeLight grant, we flew to Idaho for LymeStop treatment. Within a week, she was a whole new kid. She had a sparkle in her eyes.
It has been three months since the original treatment and Vivienne has continued to make progress. For the first time, we finally have hope. Now Vivienne is able to walk without severe fatigue and is even taking swimming lessons! With the funding from LymeLight and the expertise from LymeStop, I truly believe my daughter will get her life back. She is registered to go back to public school in the fall and now has a busy social life. She plays with neighbors and her cousins almost every day and is learning to draw anime. Thank you so much for your support and your generosity.

Gave me my life back.
It’s difficult to summarize my story concisely, but it involved a 20-year struggle with over 50 symptoms and over 100 doctors visited in that time frame.
At its worst, I was staying with family, had sold all my possessions and left running the small business that I loved, found myself unable to work in my career as a physical therapist, and was homebound and experiencing near-daily attacks of hereditary angioedema, a condition that had progressively worsened over the past 16 years. The attacks caused severe (usually abdominal) swelling and pain that left me unable to eat or drink for 2-7 days at a time while curled up in the fetal position. To say that these attacks influenced my quality of life is a huge understatement. I felt like I was constantly in survival mode, with the occasional day in between where I could start to eat and exercise again before going into another attack.
I was also struggling with conditions like mast cell activation syndrome, Epstein-Barr virus, Lyme/co-infections, cerebrospinal fluid leaks, intracranial pressure issues, CIRS from mold exposure, multiple chemical sensitivity, heavy metal toxicity, SIBO, parasites, Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, several bacterial infections, and was also labeled with Hashimoto’s thyroid disease, adrenal fatigue, gastroparesis, vagus nerve dysfunction, celiac disease, Raynaud’s disease, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome). I had severe brain fog, anxiety, depression and often displayed signs of autism when my above issues were flared up.
I had tried so many different approaches and treatments, including a very dramatic bunch of dietary changes, removal of toxin sources, and other strategies with naturopathic and functional medicine providers (in addition to decades of the mainstream medicine approach). Most recently, I underwent 9 months of IV treatments that were expensive and miserable and brought me some reduction in symptoms, but not enough relief to feel stable to resume work again.
I first tried CranioBiotic Technique with Dr. Smith in October of 2018, which made big progress in terms of my chronic ailments–to the point where I was able to work part-time again. However, the Lyme Stop treatment (4 months after CBT) was the biggest game changer. Within months, I was able to travel internationally again and found myself able to resume full-time work options. I was able to walk by a cigarette smoker or perfume wearer and not go into anaphylaxis. I had more energy and felt better equipped to resume patient care. And best of all, my hereditary angioedema attacks subsided substantially after the Lyme Stop treatment, which was miraculous in itself.
Simply put, Dr. Smith and Dynamic Health gave me my life back. When struggling with so many ailments, I felt like a shell of the person I was created to be, but Dr. Smith’s care has truly restored my hope.
Words are insufficient to express the depths of my gratitude for Dr. Smith and his team in Coeur d’Alene. I am now referring friends/family/patients and mentioned his approach in a recent book I published on mast cell activation disease. As a practitioner, I am so grateful to now have training in CBT to share with my patients suffering with chronic ailments; this has truly been the best investment I’ve found in my entire medical career. As a patient, I am beyond blessed to have received this type of care. I am rejoicing with gratitude that God led me down this path, and will continue to pray for the team at Dynamic Health as they facilitate such important healing work.

What a Blessing!
“I wasn’t sure how LymeStop could work. It seemed very odd to me! I wasn’t always a skeptic, but I became one after being sick for so long and trying many methods to treat my chronic Lyme Disease with little (if any) improvement. The physical and emotional toll it took on me became so overwhelming, that even the task of researching and making a decision about other treatments became too much for me to handle.
What a blessing to have found Dr. Smith! I felt like the pressure was off me and all I had to do was come to the office and let him take care of the rest. What a nice surprise it was to feel good after my treatments! My energy is now great, I have little to no pain in my legs, I can think clearly, and my memories of the days I felt crummy have faded away.
I am not the only one in my family who has suffered with chronic Lyme. Two of my three teenage boys had symptoms for about a year before we made the connection that it was Lyme. I wasn’t comfortable putting them on long term antibiotics after having experienced this myself. I was so thankful that Dr. Smith offered an alternative treatment. Both of my boys responded well to LymeStop and are now maintaining the active lifestyles teenagers should!
Dr. Smith has made me believe that a chronic illness doesn’t have to mean chronic pain and suffering. I want to say thank you – a heartfelt thank you – even though it doesn’t feel like enough.
Thank you again!

His gift completely changed my life!
Prior to LymeStop, I was a bed-ridden 19 year old, depressed, in extreme pain everywhere, with brain fog, heart palpitations, fatigue, muscle pain and fainting. I went through dozens of other treatments and was reluctant at first, but Dr. Smith’s gift completely changed my life…
It was a long journey dealing with Lyme, but LymeStop gave me a huge boost and enabled me to go to school. I eventually got my bachelor’s, and then my Doctorate in chiropractic – learning from Dr. Smith and others how to heal.
I absolutely recommend this treatment and refer my Lyme patients to Dr. Smith, as I only practice CBT. He is not only an amazing physician, but also has a kind heart. I am honored to call him a mentor!
Thank you. Thank you!

A Miracle!
I was a healthy 29 year-old with no health issues ever prior to getting sick from lyme. I ended up having symptoms of unrelenting fatigue (sleeping 14 hours a day), ALWAYS feeling fatigued, joint pain (neck, back, and feet), depression (suicidal), hallucinations, memory issues, irritability, blurry vision, loss of depth perception, weakness, apathy, systemic inflammation, adrenal fatigue, low thyroid function, low libido, word recall problems, sound sensitivities, avoidance of all social encounters, gave up all of my hobbies, severe chemical sensitivities, withdrawn from family and my wife and my life was a living hell. I am a practicing chiropractor and had to cut my practice down to part time because the symptoms were so bad.
I was referred to Dr. Smith by a local chiropractor in his hometown who had seen a lot of people locally with lyme get well by going to Dr. Smith. I had nothing to lose so I took the trip. I didn’t know if I had lyme for sure, since my ELISA test came back negative and my western blot from Igenix was equivocal, but Dr. Smith told me that he could at least tell me if I had lyme. When I showed up for my appointment he said I had lyme, bartonella, babesia, and a liver virus. Dr. Smith said I was lucky to be walking with how bad I was.
I must say that I was skeptical to some degree and actually had given up hope on getting better after seeing countless doctors and spending $60,000 on previous treatments. I didn’t know what Dr. Smith was doing when he was doing the lyme treatments, but I kept telling my wife that he had a certain confidence about his work. This was encouraging. He told me that his work simply allowed my own innate immune system to identify the evasive infections and then naturally my body would heal itself! I truly had a miracle after leaving Idaho and headed home. The Tuesday after I got home was the first morning I had in over a year that I felt refreshed. Within 10 days most of my symptoms had gone away. I felt like I have a new lease on life.
Since I have seen Dr. Smith, I have had no relapses. I have had no relapses from my care. All of my psychological issues are gone. All of my neurological symptoms are gone. All of my joint pain is gone. I have some adrenal fatigue if I work out too hard, but that is getting better by the week. Dr. Tony saved my life with his method. Dr. Tony is a great guy and very humble. I believe his method of lymestop is going to be a major breakthrough for lyme sufferers everywhere.

Radio Host Kaleah LaRoche’s experience
Back in 2010 I began to have pain in my shoulders and arms that began to increase more and more. I had no idea what was going on with me. I had not used traditional medical doctors in some fifteen years and had no medical insurance. I didn’t want to go that route. I tried chiropractors, acupuncture, and was eating a raw food diet. I went off the raw food diet and did another kind of diet recommended from an alternative practitioner. I did tons of different kinds of supplements and I spent thousands of dollars in my effort to heal, whatever it was that was making me sick.
I rapidly began to lose the range of motion in both arms. I had severe pain so bad I couldn’t sleep at night; so the lack of sleep contributed to my getting sicker and sicker. I would have severe muscle spasms in my arms that would send me through the roof in pain. My arms got so bad that I could no longer pull a shirt over my head and so I had to visit a second hand store and buy several large sized button up shirts that I could put on with my arms straight down, because by this time most of the range of motion in my arms was gone.
It was in December of 2010 that I had a session with an alternative doctor. He told me I had all kinds of issues going on but the one that rang true for me was Lyme Disease.
I began researching Lyme Disease and learned that people had results with TAO free Cats Claw or Samento so I headed for the supplement store to see if I could get some. I talked to the man who worked there and he said they didn’t have the TAO variety. I explained that I was trying to heal Lyme and he told me that just last week a couple came in who both had Lyme Disease and they went to see this doctor in Idaho who treated them with magnets. They both experienced getting really sick at first but were healed of Lyme and when he saw them they were both glowing.
The day before I had also received an email from a friend who had gone to see a doctor in Idaho who diagnosed her with Lyme. When I looked it up online it was the same doctor. So I picked up the phone right away and scheduled an appointment.
The diagnosis of Lyme Disease was confirmed and I went through five, painless, non invasive treatments in a two week period and all symptoms of Lyme began to rapidly decline. I was left with only the loss of range of motion in my arms but with strong intention and diligent effort I recovered my arms completely and have had no symptoms of Lyme Disease since.
Since I posted on a much earlier blog about my challenge with Lyme I received many emails from people asking for the name of the doctor who helped me. I invited Dr. Tony Smith to be a guest on Sedona Talk Radio to talk about his work in diagnosis and treatment of Lyme. This was a special broadcast that aired live on February 1st, 2013 at 10am PST.

I Felt Like I Was Dying
“In 2009, my body felt like it was shutting down. My body ached and I felt so sick that I cannot even explain it in words. I literally felt as if I was dying, I am not the kind of person that ever likes to depend upon others and I figured I would somehow fix whatever was wrong with me by myself. Well, I was not able to.
For the next couple of months I kept going into a downward spiral of health. Then it got to where I couldn’t see straight, which is bad for an owner of a Video Production Company. After a period of time of feeling like today is the day I am going to die, I heard from a friend about this Dr. Smith guy in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho who has this weird kind of therapy for people who don’t feel well. At that point I was willing to do anything to get better and so was my poor wife, who was such a perfect person while I was sick.
So I went to Dr. Smith and he did a bunch of tests on me, ultimately finding out I had Lyme Disease. He showed me how he was going to help my immune system fight the disease by using magnets.
At one point after watching a documentary on Lyme Disease, I just broke down in tears because I knew what could have happened if I had not met Dr. Smith. He truly is a God send. I am so thankful today because of what he did for me. God used him as the instrument of healing. Now I am back being very productive and able to hang out with my wife and 2 little girls without being a 30 year old lump in the corner waiting to die.
If you are as skeptical as I was this decision will be hard for you to make. But trust him, he does know what he is doing.

You Saved My Life… and My Marriage!
“It was about a year ago, almost exactly, when I began to feel sick… sicker than “normal”. In less than a few months, I went from my being at my best to my absolute worst. I had been working full time and wound up not being able to work at all.
My conditions had forced me to take an indefinite medical leave, eventually leading to the loss of my job. I was 26 years old, but felt like I was on my deathbed. I had about 6 months until our wedding, and didn’t know how I was going to make it. I had seen so many doctors and specialists from here to Seattle, each with a new and different diagnosis and/or treatment plan.
My body doesn’t respond well to prescriptions or antibiotics, so anything calling for use of them was definitely out of the question… Fibromyalgia, Candida, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity… I had been labeled so much I didn’t know what to do, or who I was anymore.
I eventually found my way to Dr. Smith’s office. He knew right away that I had been through a series of unfortunate misdiagnoses, and knew exactly what was going on inside my body. He called it Lyme… something I hadn’t heard much about before. So I borrowed the office DVD “Under Our Skin”, and to my surprise I was just like so many people in this movie. I too, had deep and radiating pain throughout my body. I too, was so fatigued that I could barely get out of bed most days. I too, was going from bad to worse, and fast!
After doing some research and watching the film, I knew that Dr. Smith was right and that I needed to start his treatment right away. He told me it could take at least 4 weeks before I would begin to feel better. But after this long, it was going to be worth it, and just to have hope again, that I could feel better, and would get better!
I had exactly 8 weeks until our wedding at this point, and did exactly as he recommended, in hopes that my dreams could still come true. At first, things felt worse, but I learned that this is actually a good thing and it was my body’s way of detoxing and ridding itself of the Lyme. But within a few weeks, I was noticing significant changes, for the better. I was in less pain, could stay awake longer periods of time, actually shower and get some fresh air, without collapsing from fatigue.
I could think again – clearly, and had no more “brain fog” and forgetfulness! It was amazing! I felt like myself again – better than myself even!
The week before we were supposed to leave for Hawaii, Dr. Smith gave me his blessing – not only would I be able to get married and enjoy our honeymoon completely, but I even got his okay to go back to work! The Lyme was out of my systems, I was healthy and happy again, and just in the nick of time!
My husband and I are forever grateful to Dr. Smith and his treatment, along with his wonderful office assistants. I don’t know where (or even if) I would be today, without them!
You all saved my life, and my marriage. Thank you, thank you, and thank you!
Katie (and Harry) F.
Dr. Smith’s comment:
“Katie’s dramatic recovery was definitely influenced by her strong desire to get well before her wedding.”
I’m Now So Full of Energy!
When I was younger I would always miss school because I was sick. My health was fine in 4th grade, but in 5th grade it started going downhill. Often, I would call my Mom from school because I had a fever and was very tired. In the 7th through 9th grades my health gradually got worse. If I was sick for a day, we could guarantee it would last for at least one week. It got so bad that I missed a whole month of school.
My Mom and I went to a Naturopathic physician who diagnosed me with Lyme Disease. He said that two-thirds of my body was inflamed, and that I had the physiological body of a 47 year old man – even though I was only 13 years old!
When Dr. Smith’s wife found out about my diagnosis, she called my mom and suggested that I see Dr. Smith for his new LymeStop therapy.
Before starting treatment, I had experienced symptoms such as brain fog, a constant low-grade fever, poor appetite, sleeping so deep I was unable to wake up, constant fatigue, and sleeping for many hours at a time and still needing more.
After completing treatment, I did not notice any immediate improvement, but after several months my health had improved dramatically. My body continued to heal as I watched my diet and continued taking the nutritional supplements.
After missing school for three months, I was now able to return to school. I felt so much better. My grades improved tremendously. During the summer, I had the energy to work very effectively, and I even went on an Alaskan cruise.
Now, one year later, I am doing better than ever. I went on a hunting trip which I had never been able to do before. Right after Thanksgiving I got very sick for a while and my Mom and I thought this had something to do with Lyme, but Dr. Smith found that I had Mono. After Dr. Smith treated the Mono, I was so full of energy that I could hardly get to bed at night!
Thank you so much Dr. and Mrs. Smith for your incredible kindness and care!

A New Lease on Life
“I am amazed at your treatment and total cure of my Lyme disease. For several years I endured symptoms of chronic fatigue, sinusitis and an overall profound lack of energy on a daily basis. I also had a susceptibility to viral infections throughout my body along with a severely deficient immune system.
At the age of 45, I felt not only like an old man but at times felt like I was literally dying a slow death. All of this despite the fact that I was generally in good shape, on an extraordinary dietary and vitamin regimen, and had remained painfully loyal to a consistent exercise routine.
After your LymeStop treatments, all of the above mentioned symptoms are completely and utterly gone! I feel as youthful and vibrant as I once did in my twenties, which is validated by the favorable and ongoing commentary of my wife, family and friends.
Because I have a new lease on life and ready to once again pursuit my life’s goals and dreams, I can only humbly attempt to relay how much your treatment means to me as it has transformed my life.”
Thank you,
David H.
If I Hadn’t Taken That Leap of Faith…
It is my great pleasure to tell the story of my Lyme disease journey.
I am currently 42 years old and I have my own business in the hydroseeding and erosion control industry. Three years ago I noticed that I started getting increasingly tired; I would work half a day and then return home to take a several hour nap. I have never been the type of person that needed to take naps. I felt as though my body was telling me there was something wrong, but without health insurance, I continued to ignore the signals. I mean, it couldn’t be that bad, right? The next year, I developed muscle spasms in my back, which I attributed to my work.
I spend most days lifting 50 pound bales for several hours a day. Also, not only was I still tired but I began to get depressed in a way I had never experienced before. The smallest hurdles in life became monstrous and devastating. Again, I have never been a person that has experienced depression. Not only that, my life as a whole was going quite well; my family was happy, I was with my soul mate, and my business was good.
Then in the spring of 2010 I was sitting on my couch watching TV and I went blind for 30 seconds. When my sight returned I noticed that parts of my face and body had gone numb and my left eye was blurry. I got scared and headed straight to the emergency room. They ran tests; made sure I hadn’t had a stroke, and sent me home with the instructions, “if it happens again come back in.”
Two days later on Valentine’s Day it did happen again with the added symptom of mental delay. My sister said it was like I was drunk but I didn’t drink. I returned to the E.R. and was promptly told that I had M.S., “Because M.S. is the only thing that causes random, moving, numbness.” Also, “you can go take the tests or you don’t have too because that is what you have.” I was given no tests at the time and sent back home.
Wow, M.S.? I was completely devastated!
I proceeded to go through the testing for M.S. and the results came back negative. The Dr. told me I was just stressed and to go home. Again I was devastated. I friend of mine told me to look at Lyme Disease, I did and the symptoms matched so I asked my primary physician to test me. She did, and the results were negative.
Now what? I continued on with my life, dealing with the symptoms, which were increasing and new ones were popping up. The worst was my mental confusion and inability to remember anything. I forgot to go to jobs, I forgot to bill jobs, and I would get lost trying to find my jobs. I once got lost in Post Falls for 20 minutes; I had to ask a police officer for directions. It was not the first time I had been to this job site. Then I began to forget words, simple words, like they were just out of reach and I knew they were there but they wouldn’t come out of my mouth. But, I didn’t have any options in the medical field so I just kept going.
Around July of 2010 I was rear-ended in my work truck. I wasn’t surprised that I had gotten into an accident, but with my condition I was surprised that it wasn’t my fault. I felt an instant shooting pain through my back and down my leg. My vehicle insurance company sent me to a chiropractor and to physical therapy.
I believe that accident saved my life. I told my chiropractor that there was something wrong with me but I didn’t know what it was. She was very supportive and treated me for the accident for several months.
One day I arrived at my appointment and she took one look at my face and asked me what was wrong, since my left eye was drooping. She tried a few things to see if she could help me, but was unsuccessful. She told me about her friend, Dr. Smith, who she always went to see him when something unusual cropped up. She gave me his number and told me to call him.
I of course lost the number and totally forgot about it. After about three times of giving me his number, she finally just called his office and handed me the phone.
I consider my decision to see Dr. Smith as a leap of faith. I didn’t have a lot of experience with naturopathic or energy medicine, but I have spent some time in France and have seen a more open approach to full-body healing.
So, I took the leap of faith with Dr. Smith.
I was in bad shape and don’t remember anything he said to me during that time, or the actual treatments. As soon as the treatments began, I actually took a turn for the worse, which I now know is common with Lyme treatments.
At my last appointment, Dr. Smith could find no Lyme or Lyme coinfections. I no longer feel as though I am dying, my brain is clearing and my memory is returning. My biggest fear during this illness was that I wouldn’t die but that my brain would be irreparably damaged. But, great news, I am returning to normal and couldn’t be more excited to be returning to life worth living.
Dr. Smith also took care of a few allergies that plagued me during my life. I was allergic to alcohol, penicillin, pollen and mold. Let me point out that if, in fact, my Elsa/Western blot Lyme test had been positive, I wouldn’t have been able to take the normal course of antibiotic treatments because I was allergic to antibiotics. I also spent every spring dealing with bronchitis due to my pollen allergy. With the alcohol allergy, I had stopped drinking anything alcoholic several years ago; I was given several funny looks in France when I declined the wine. I no longer have problems with sensitivity to mold, I no longer develop bronchitis, and I can enjoy a glass of wine. The only thing Dr. Smith hasn’t cured me of is the hangovers if I choose to drink several glasses!
I cannot imagine where my life would be if I hadn’t taken that leap of faith.
I am forever thankful for Dr. Smith and his wonderful staff. Theresa is amazing when it comes to assuring you that everything is going to be fine. I also don’t hesitate to make the call for other friends that are dealing with allergies and unknown illnesses.
Thank You!!!!
Crystal W.
I Actually Felt Human Again
In 2009, when I was 11 years old, our family went on a trip to the East coast. The last few days we were there I caught what I thought was a cold, but it went away after we got home, and it was forgotten.
Two months later, I was going to bed when I noticed a bump on my neck; it was a swollen lymph node. For the next few weeks I had experienced severe swelling in my neck. The doctor told us it was just a virus and the swelling would go away in a couple of weeks to a month. Almost a year later my lymph nodes were still swollen, and my brain felt like it was in a cloud. I was always tired and barely able to finish school.
Several of our friends had recommended Dr. Smith, so in August of 2010, we went to Dynamic Health. We finally learned the terrible truth; I had Lyme Disease. As I began having treatments, we noticed that after each session I was gradually getting better.
As time went on, I began to have more energy, and I could think more clearly. The next year was even better; I had the energy to work outside and not only that, but it was my first summer without allergies. I could breathe through my nose and that was a huge milestone for me. I felt great… I actually felt human again.
It has been an amazing journey for me, and through all of this I must sincerely thank Dr. Smith for all he did for me.
With many thanks,
Emily S.
My Husband and I Feel Good Again
In April 2009, I began to get really sick. I even had to come home early from a trip to Alaska because I was so sick.
Then my husband began to get sick. We were so fatigued we couldn’t get out of bed in the morning. This went on for quite a while. When we were about at the end of our rope, my husband and I found out that we both had Lyme disease.
We avoided the medical community treatment of antibiotics, which I am allergic to. Dr. Smith began treating us with magnetic therapy and vitamins. It took some time and work, but we soon began to feel better. The treatments were very easy and the results were obvious.
With Dr. Smith I always felt I was getting the best treatment with compassion and understanding. I never once thought of going to anyone else. Julie and the other ladies are always understanding and kind. When I call the office I am always given immediate attention and concern. This letter is my opportunity to tell them how much they mean to me.
My husband and I feel good again. We are nearly 70 years old so our days of complete health are probably behind us. The aches and pains we have are signs of old age but I know when I get sick I can count on Dr. Smith and his ladies to give me the attention and care I need. Thank you.
With love and gratitude,
Rita D.
Dr. Smith’s comment:
“This was an unusual case of a husband and wife becoming infected at almost the same time.”
God bless you and your staff!!!
I thank God so much for Dr. Smith and his LymeStop therapy! When I first saw Dr. Smith in July of 2011, I was 30 lbs. underweight, orange in color, and honestly thought I was going to die.
After seeing so many doctors – too numerous to count – he was the ONLY one who was able to find the source of my illness, a nasty virus in my liver. He also found Lyme and co-infections throughout my body.
After a few months, I had gained 20lbs, was no longer orange, and was on my way to being healthy again. Thank you, Dr. Smith, for helping me and so many others regain their lives.
