In early 2009, Dr. Smith was shocked to learn that his own chronic, frustrating symptoms had one insidious cause – Lyme Disease. Now he understood why these health issues had been unresponsive to so many different types of treatment, including his own.
The more he learned about chronic Lyme disease, the more he was determined to beat it without antibiotics – which he knew were seldom curative. Dr. Smith was also encouraged by the fact that his previous healing innovations had helped many thousands of people to get well.
Like many individuals, his symptoms had not responded to multiple forms of care. This experience gave him a new perspective—not only as a practitioner, but as someone personally navigating the complexity of Lyme disease.
Motivated to find answers, Dr. Smith began focusing his efforts on developing an approach that could engage the body’s natural healing processes.
In the early 1980s, Dr. Smith developed the AcuTac system, which helped people to quit smoking and control their appetite. Based on auriculotherapy (ear acupuncture), this highly effective technique became so popular that Dr. Smith established additional AcuTac clinics in other major cities. Soon many other doctors throughout the country were duplicating this technique in their practices.
In 2000, Dr. Smith created AllerTouch, an amazingly simple and effective method of identifying and eliminating most types of allergies. AllerTouch involved the manual stimulation of brain-related treatment points, while the allergen was touching a specific location on the body. The result? An almost immediate desensitization to most allergens, and the elimination of their symptoms.
Not content with treating only allergies, several years later he pioneered CranioBiotic Technique (CBT), and a CBT-based muscle rejuvenation technique called MyoBiotix.
CranioBiotic Technique proved to be a genuine breakthrough in healing. CBT was a far more ambitious treatment for not only allergies, but also for most infections and chronic illnesses. Like AllerTouch, CBT also involved stimulating the brain. However, it also involved the simultaneous stimulation of unique “infection points” and “organ points” on the body.
When his new patient waiting list became too lengthy, Dr. Smith began teaching CBT (and Myobiotix) to hundreds of other practitioners. These included naturopaths, chiropractors, medical doctors, acupuncturists, physical therapists and nutritionists from around the world. CBT was widely regarded as an amazingly simple but powerful technique, and 99 percent of CBT seminar participants indicated that they would “highly recommend” the CBT course to their colleagues.
After receiving his Lyme diagnosis, Dr. Smith decided to quit teaching CBT and MyoBiotix. This enabled him to focus his time and energy on developing a possible cure. The complex and resistive nature of Lyme disease was not about to stop Dr. Smith, especially since he had already created other very effective healing techniques. He became passionate in his search for an effective, natural treatment for Lyme disease.
Because of his efforts, he was soon recognized as being “Lyme Literate” – a qualification earned from his many hours of intensive study. He also gained new and unique insights into this very elusive and debilitating disease.
Dr. Smith’s goal was to apply the same core principles that he did with AllerTouch, Myobiotix and CBT, which was empowering the brain and immune system. During the next year, Dr. Smith painstakingly evaluated hundreds of Lyme sufferers. His research eventually uncovered many new points on the body which were Lyme-specific. He found that each of these sensitive points was uniquely relevant for each form of Borrelia, and for most Lyme co-infections.
However, instead of manually stimulating these points as with CBT, Dr. Smith discovered that the best therapeutic outcomes were achieved with magnetic stimulation. He therefore decided to call these remarkable points BioMagnetic Lyme Points (BLPs).
Enthusiastic reports of LymeStop’s effectiveness spread quickly. In just two years, Dr. Smith was honored to be the Lyme literate doctor for people throughout the United States and numerous other countries.

Dr. Smith is a member of the Christian Chiropractors Association, American Chiropractic Association, and the Idaho Association of Chiropractic Physicians. He is also a Fellow of the International Academy of Clinical Acupuncture.

“Dr. Tony” (as he is affectionately called) lives in Post Falls, Idaho, with his beautiful wife Lisa. He also has two adult daughters and two grandchildren, of whom he is very proud.
